Roe & Co Irish Whiskey Releases First Ever Bespoke Cask Bottling in Collaboration with The Palace Bar
Roe & Co Irish Whiskey today announced the launch of a limited-edition Roe & Co 15-Year-Old Sauternes finished Single Malt Irish Whiskey, an exciting collaboration with The Palace Bar in Temple Bar.
In Roe & Co’s true spirit of collaboration, and to mark the 200-year anniversary of the infamous whiskey bar, the brand has teamed up with long standing Diageo customer, Willie Ahern, Palace Bar owner, to develop its first ever bespoke cask bottling release which will be exclusively available from early December at the Palace Bar in Dublin.
With only 276 bottles of this hand numbered special limited-edition Roe & Co 15-year-old Sauternes finish Single Malt Irish Whiskey available, this 56.2% abv expression, showcases an exciting single malt flavour exploration that boldly reimagines taste. The whiskey was initially filled in American oak barrels that previously held Bourbon on 2nd June 2008 and was subsequentially filled into AOC Sauternes American oak casks on July 31st2021, to deliver an exceptionally exciting bespoke single malt Irish whiskey. Delivering notes of orange rind, pineapple, and honeysuckle on the nose, with some dried fruit, butterscotch, more honey, more ginger and citrus fruit on the palate, finishing with notes of baking spices, oak and crème brûlée, Roe & Co 15-year Sauternes finish Single Malt Irish Whiskey is best enjoyed neat or over ice.
